£13.08 per hour

4 on 4 off / 12 hour Days and Nights

Our client based in the Wrexham area is currently looking for a Quality Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.  Reporting to the Shift Supervisor and Quality Manager you will monitor, verify and report all aspects of product quality reporting accurately any deviation from current specification.

 

Performance Objectives

·         Ensure that H&S rules and regulations are adhered to, at all times, during the shift.

·         Effectively and efficiently manage the quality, safety and legality of products throughout the Production process.

·         Monitor and report non-conformances and ensure they are raised, communicated and managed through to completion in a timely manner and through the correct reporting process.

·         Undertake routine quality control testing complying with internal procedures at all times.

·         Facilitate inspection of product to verify it meets the required specification and labelling (traceability) requirements prior to release to customer.

·         Undertake quality related audits accurately and thoroughly.

·         Actively promote quality standards across the business.

·         Assist to maintain and continually improve the quality management system in line with current BRC, HACCP and Hygiene requirements.

·         Play an active role in the company’s continuous improvement plan to support the delivery of Company objectives.

·         Perform any other duties necessary as requested by a member of the management team.

 

Person Specification

·         Literacy or numeracy up to Level 2 or equivalent.

·         Experience of working in a similar capacity preferably within a FMCG environment.

·         Good at figuring out the processes necessary to get things done and knows how to organise people and activities.

·         Understands how to separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow.

·         Uses time effectively and efficiently.

·         Makes decisions in a timely manner.

·         Able to make informed and methodical decisions.

·         Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.

·         Pursues everything with energy, drive and a need to finish.

·         Relates well to all kinds of people.

·         Able to build constructive and effective relationships.
