Site Location: Blagdon, BS40

Contract: Temporary ongoing

Shift: Monday to Friday 6:30am-3:30pm     

Basic Pay Rate: £11.70ph

Overtime Rate: £15.56ph

Due to continual business growth, gap personnel are currently seeking new team members to join the diverse, friendly, and passionate team at Yeo Valley. Based at their stunning site in Isleport, Highbridge, we have a Catering Assistant position available with immediate start.

As a Catering Assistant, you will work as an important part of a team supporting with the catering and hospitality at their Acorn House canteen (and other Yeo Valley sites as requested). 

As a Catering Assistant your role will include:

  • Serving Yeo Valley staff with hot and cold food as required and in line with department procedures.
  • Ensuring all displays, counters and seating areas are presented to the highest standards.
  • Front and back of house services as required food prep, kitchen porter duties, vending and snack replenishment.
  • Completing daily and weekly tasks as directed and in accordance with Weekly and Daily procedures.
  • Observing and complying with all procedures relating to cash handling and security /Till operating/cash handling.
  • Active involvement and commitment to the quality management system, making sure all relevant controls and procedures are completed effectively to validate food safety controls and the products we make exceed customer and consumer expectations.
  • Escalate any food safety breach or quality issue and ensure that any product below our standards is identified and held and the issues are escalated appropriately, resolved, and released.

What are we looking for from you?

Putting smiles on people’s faces with food; Previous experience in a similar role i.e. kitchen, catering, hospitality environment; Food Hygiene Level 2; Driving license; Excellent customer service, be a pro-active team worker with good team working skills.
