Job Title: Weighbridge Operator (Progression to 360 Driver)

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour to start, rising to £15.00 per hour after 360 training

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent

Location: Chesterfield (Own transport may be required depending on your location)

Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Weighbridge Operator to join a busy and well-established Recycling Centre in Chesterfield.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with solid admin skills and a willingness to learn. You’ll manage weighbridge operations and support general admin duties — with the opportunity to train as a 360 Machine Operator, increasing your pay to £15.00 per hour upon completion.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

• Previous admin or site-based experience (preferred)

• Using basic computer systems and handling paperwork

• Good communication and attention to detail

• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn new skills

• Experience in a recycling, waste, or construction environment is helpful but not essential

Licenses are not required — full 360 training will be provided on the job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating the site weighbridge and logging vehicle movements accurately

• Completing paperwork, data entry, and daily records

• Coordinating with drivers and yard staff to keep operations flowing smoothly

• Following health and safety procedures on-site

• Assisting with general site duties when needed

• Training towards operating 360 excavators to support recycling operations

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Benefits:
