<div class="description">What are the working hours?
The normal working week is 37.5 paid hours.
What breaks will I get?
You will receive a 30-minute paid lunch break plus two 15-minute unpaid breaks during your shift.
Is overtime available?
Yes! Overtime is available and paid at enhanced rates:
1.3x after 37.5 hours
1.5x for Saturdays
2x for Sundays and bank holidays
What PPE do I need to wear?
Hi-vis, safety shoes and safety goggles must be worn on site.
Don't worry about the hi-vis or safety goggles — these are provided for you.
What type of contract is available?
The roles are offered on a temporary ongoing basis. However, exceptional candidates may have the opportunity to be offered a permanent contract.</div>

Gap Personnel who are operating as an employment business are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Cable Winding Operatives for a company based in Knowsley area.
This is a permanent vacancy from day one.
Job Purpose
To manufacture fibre optic cables by operating production machinery, handling optical fibres and cable materials, and carrying out assembly, inspection and quality control activities in accordance with production specifications, quality standards and health and safety procedures. The role involves winding electrical cable from one drum to another, using various winding machines.
Key Responsibilities
<ul style="margin-top: 0cm;" type="disc">
<li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;">Operate and monitor production machinery used in the manufacture of fibre optic cables.</li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;">Feed, guide and handle optical fibres, strength members, insulation materials and cable components during the manufacturing process.</li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;">Assist with cable extrusion.</li>
