Pay Rates:

• Basic Rate: £13.25 per hour

• Overtime Rate: £17.67 per hour

• Sunday & Bank Holiday Rate: £26.50 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Rotating weekly between:

  • 05:00 – 13:30

  • 13:00 – 20:30

Gap Personnel is recruiting on behalf of our client based in Thetford for the role of Fuel and Ash Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and well-established energy-from-waste operation, playing a key role in supporting the daily functioning of the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unloading incoming fuel and ash materials

• Loading and shoving RDF material into conveyors to maintain full-load boiler operations

• Cleaning up any materials that fall from conveyors to ensure a safe and efficient environment

• Monitoring and recording line temperatures

• Carrying out routine cleaning of boilers and related systems

• Completing all relevant paperwork for deliveries and operations

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures at all times

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar industrial or plant environment (preferred)

• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks

• Strong focus on health and safety

• High attention to detail and reliability

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including potential weekends and bank holidays
