Job Opportunity: Grounds Operative
Location: Norwich City Centre
Sector: Grounds Maintenance & Environmental Services
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm | 37 hours per week | 5 days out of 7 (including weekends)
Driving Licence Required

Gap Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Grounds Operatives to join a respected employer based in Norwich City Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to join a service-driven team dedicated to maintaining and improving parks, open spaces, housing areas, and highway verges across the city.

Whether you’re already experienced in grounds maintenance or looking to build a long-term career in the field, full training will be provided across various tasks — giving you the chance to grow and develop your skills.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Grounds maintenance: hedge trimming, shrub pruning, grass cutting, litter picking

  • Supporting the team with general upkeep of public green spaces

  • Performing vehicle checks and driving company vehicles (training provided)

  • Using tools and machinery safely and effectively (training provided)

  • Completing basic paperwork and health & safety checks

  • Working flexibly across different locations and tasks


✅ What We’re Looking For:

  • A full UK driving licence (essential for this role)

  • Experience in grounds or outdoor maintenance is desirable but not essential

  • A strong work ethic, with a proactive and positive attitude

  • Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to varied daily duties

  • Commitment to health & safety, teamwork, and customer care
