Are you an experienced SEO leader ready to shape organic search strategy across a growing, multi-brand organisation?
We’re looking for a commercially focused Group SEO Manager to lead and develop SEO strategy across a portfolio of established consumer brands. This is a high-impact opportunity where you’ll drive organic growth, strengthen search visibility and ensure SEO is embedded across ecommerce, content, marketing, product and technology.
You’ll own the Group SEO roadmap, lead an internal team, manage agency partners and play a key role in major website migrations and replatforming projects. You’ll also help shape the organisation’s approach to the future of search, including Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO).
What you’ll be doing
- Developing and delivering a group-wide SEO strategy across multiple brands and websites
- Owning the annual SEO roadmap and prioritising activity according to commercial impact
- Leading and developing an internal team of technical SEO and content specialists
- Managing SEO agency relationships and ensuring the effective use of internal and external resources
- Driving improvements in organic traffic, rankings, revenue, customer acquisition and search visibility
- Working collaboratively with ecommerce, digital trading, marketing, content, product and development teams
- Identifying technical, content and authority-building opportunities across multiple websites
- Ensuring SEO best practice is built into website developments, redesigns, migrations and wider digital projects
- Developing keyword, category and content strategies aligned with customer demand and commercial objectives
- Providing clear reporting and insight into SEO performance, risks and opportunities
- Leading SEO activity throughout major website migrations and replatforming programmes, from planning and testing through to post-launch monitoring
- Developing GEO and AEO strategies to increase visibility across AI-driven search experiences
- Building SEO knowledge and promoting best practice throughout the wider organisation
What we’re looking for
- Significant SEO experience gained within ecommerce, retail or another large consumer-facing organisation
- A proven track record of developing and delivering SEO strategies within complex, multi-site or multi-brand environments
- Strong technical SEO expertise, supported by a sound understanding of content and authority-building strategies
- Experience managing an internal SEO team, external agency partners or both
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to demonstrate how SEO contributes to business growth
- Experience working with large ecommerce websites and cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical skills and confidence using SEO and digital analytics platforms
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Proven experience leading SEO activity through major website migrations or replatforming projects
- A strong understanding of GEO and AEO, including structured data, content optimisation, authority and AI-led search visibility
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively
- A proactive, results-driven and commercially minded approach
It would be an advantage if you have
- Experience working within a multi-brand retail environment
- Experience building or expanding an in-house SEO function
- Knowledge of emerging AI tools and technologies within search and digital marketing
- Experience presenting SEO strategies and performance insights to senior stakeholders
- A genuine interest in evolving search behaviour and emerging industry trends
What’s on offer
- Competitive salary
- Hybrid working, with two days per week in the London office
- Company pension
- Employee discount
- Long-service awards
- Cycle-to-work scheme
- The opportunity to lead SEO strategy across a substantial multi-brand organisation
If you’re an accomplished SEO professional who combines technical expertise with commercial thinking and strong leadership skills, we’d love to hear from you.
