Line Leader – Manufacturing

Location: Bridgewater
Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: £28,300

We’re recruiting for a hands-on Line Leader to join a growing manufacturing business specialising in nutritional and health products.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Production Operative, Team Leader or Line Leader who enjoys being present on the factory floor. You’ll coordinate the day-to-day running of a production line, support the team, and ensure targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

The role

  • Leading the daily operation of a production line
  • Coordinating operators and packers throughout the shift
  • Allocating tasks and communicating production priorities
  • Ensuring lines start on time and run efficiently
  • Monitoring output, quality, and downtime
  • Leading product changeovers
  • Completing quality checks and production documentation
  • Carrying out basic machine adjustments where required
  • Resolving day-to-day production issues and escalating technical faults
  • Supporting and training new team members
  • Maintaining high food safety, hygiene, GMP and health and safety standards
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Working directly on the line and operating machinery when needed

What we’re looking for

  • Experience within manufacturing, production, food, nutrition, or FMCG
  • Previous experience coordinating people or leading production activities
  • A good understanding of production processes
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to make practical decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence completing production and quality documentation
  • A hands-on, proactive, and supportive leadership style
  • Good knowledge of quality, hygiene and health and safety standards

Experience with HACCP, GMP, production changeovers, continuous improvement or basic machine troubleshooting would be advantageous.
