A well-established and growing manufacturer is looking to recruit a Machine Operator to join its production team based near Bridgwater.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing or production experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring production machinery, ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently while maintaining excellent quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating and monitoring production machinery throughout the shift
• Following daily production plans and preparing machinery and work areas accordingly
• Ensuring products are manufactured to the required quality standards
• Monitoring machine performance, waste levels, and production output
• Reacting quickly to production issues and escalating where necessary
• Completing production paperwork accurately and on time
• Supporting machine changeovers, cleaning, and basic maintenance activities
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, and health & safety
• Working flexibly to meet production deadlines and customer requirements

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
• Good attention to detail and quality standards
• A proactive and positive attitude
• The ability to work well within a team
• Good problem-solving skills
• A willingness to learn new machinery and processes
• Flexibility with working hours when required
