Crediton, EX17
£12.39 per hour
Full-time | Temp to Perm
SHIFT PATTERNS AVAILABLE:

1. Monday to Thursday, 05:45 – 14:15, Friday 05:45 – 13:15

2. Monday to Thursday, 07:30 – 16:00, Friday 07:30 – 15:00

gap personnel is recruiting Manufacturing Operatives for an established pharmaceutical company based in Crediton. Immediate starts available! This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with full training provided – perfect if you're looking to start or grow your career in production or manufacturing.

Job Purpose:

To ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate manufacture of pharmaceutical products in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), company procedures, and health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients according to batch records and instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and complete production documentation, including batch records, cleaning logs, and deviation reports.
  • Carry out in-process checks to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Clean and sanitize production areas and equipment according to GMP standards.
  • Support the setup and changeover of machinery for different products or batches.
  • Identify and report any equipment faults or deviations from process controls immediately.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Work collaboratively with quality assurance and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement and issue resolution.
  • Participate in training and ongoing development to remain compliant with regulatory and internal requirements.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a pharmaceutical, food, or other GMP-regulated production environment is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of GMP, SOPs, and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) regulations.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including shift work if required.
