Machinist – Newport
Pay: £15 per hour (depending on experience) Hours: 39 per week Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am–3:00pm
About the Role
A production workshop is seeking a skilled Machinist to join on a temp‑to‑perm basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with machining experience who wants long‑term stability and a consistent daytime shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual and/or CNC machinery (depending on skillset)
- Produce components to required specifications
- Read and understand engineering drawings
- Perform routine machine checks and maintenance
- Work efficiently to meet production targets
What You Need
- Previous machining experience
- Ability to work with accuracy and precision
- Understanding of workshop safety
- Strong reliability and teamwork
