Night Shift Engineer – Llantrisant

Monday to Friday 10pm-6am

We’re looking for a Night Shift Engineer to support site operations by maintaining machinery, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring all equipment remains safe, efficient, and fit for purpose. This role involves preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and supporting installations, upgrades, and movements of machinery across the plant.

This is a night‑shift position, and candidates must be flexible as occasional call‑outs may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance — complete scheduled tasks in line with best practice
  • Breakdown response — deliver rapid, effective repairs to minimise downtime
  • Safe working environment — follow all site policies and procedures
  • Risk assessments — complete and document assessments before starting work
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment is safe, compliant, and fit for purpose
  • Work with and install single‑phase and three‑phase electrical circuits
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance to site facilities
  • Promote safe working practices across the site
  • Communicate effectively with management and relevant teams
  • Complete daily time/task sheets accurately
  • Undertake any additional duties appropriate to the role and skill level

Key Skills & Experience

  • Recognised Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship
  • Multi‑skilled engineer with mechanical bias and solid electrical knowledge
  • Experience working in a food production environment (3+ years)
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • BRC experience
  • Good standard of written and verbal English
