Trainee Assessor – Health & Social Care
Salary: £24,638
Location: North Wales (Remote)
Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (12 Months)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 16:30
About the Opportunity
We are working in partnership with a respected training provider to recruit a Trainee Assessor in Health & Social Care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industry experience looking to transition into a training and assessing role.

The Role
As a Trainee Assessor, you will support apprenticeship learners throughout their programme, helping them develop the knowledge and competencies required to achieve their Health & Social Care qualifications.
You will receive support and guidance as you develop your assessing skills, while working closely with learners and employers to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, knowledge and competency-based assessment support
- Manage a caseload of learners, including workplace visits across a regional area
- Support learners through regular interaction, planning, and feedback
- Conduct learner progress reviews and set clear, measurable targets
- Develop and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
- Ensure learner progress is accurately recorded and tracked
- Support timely achievement of learner outcomes
- Maintain compliance with internal quality assurance processes
- Plan and manage learner journeys effectively from start to completion
Requirements
Essential:
- Occupational experience within Health & Social Care
- Level 2 and 3 NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care (Adults)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to complete a DBS check and relevant registration
Desirable:
- Previous training or assessing experience
- Recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g. TAQA, CAVA, A1 or equivalent)
- Welsh language skills
