Role: Project Engineer
Location: Hendy Industrial Estate, Swansea
Salary: £40K - £44K
Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.15am – 4.45pm Friday 8.15am – 3.30pm

Our client is expanding, and we’re looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join their dynamic Projects Engineering Department. This is your chance to work for a fast-growing company that designs and manufactures cutting-edge hygienic process systems for the pharmaceutical, food & beverage, dairy, and chemical industries.

With a 30,000 ft² manufacturing facility, we’re aiming to become the market leader in membrane filtration systems, CIP systems, and bespoke stainless-steel fabrications.

What You’ll Bring to the Team
We’re looking for an enthusiastic engineer with:

  • A degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline
  • Experience in process manufacturing and equipment specification
  • Knowledge of thermo/fluid dynamics, instrumentation, and control (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Essential project management experience
  • A valid UK driving license
  • Willingness to travel across the UK (and occasionally overseas)

Your Responsibilities
As a Project Engineer, your work will be varied and hands-on, including:

  • Designing process flow diagrams and control systems
  • Sourcing and procuring materials and equipment
  • Supervising workshop-based builds and collaborating with fabrication teams
  • Managing full project lifecycles – from concept to installation and commissioning
  • Carrying out risk assessments and producing technical documentation
  • Supporting customer relationships and conducting pilot plant trials
  • Preparing costings and detailed technical reports
  • Representing Axium at customer sites throughout the UK and abroad
