Job description
Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for Production Operatives for our client in Telford. This is an incredible opportunity to join a growing business on a temporary to permanent bassis and learn new skills within the carpentry/construction industry with progression available for the right candidate. You will need to have a full driving license and own transport due to the location of this business.
 
This role is due to start Mid - September and will involve an interview and site tour with factory manager. 
 
Hours of work: 
Monday - Friday
8am - 4:30pm 
(may vary due to busy periods - requires flexibility)
 
Pay:
£12.50 per hour
 
Duties and responsibilities as a Production Operative:
  • Accurately cut and measure timber panels according to specifications
  • Use tape measures and various hand tools to prepare and handle materials
  • Assist in the production and assembly of timber panels for housing and construction projects
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety standards

Qualifications & Skills as a Production Operative:

  • High levels of written and spoken English
  • A positive attitude to work
  • Good Attendance & a self starter
  • Confident in reading and utilising a tape measure
  • Previous experience using hand tools
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Must have own car due to location of site
