Housing & Support Operations Manager (South West)
Location: Swindon.
Hours: 40 hours per week (full-time)
Days: Monday - Friday - 08.30am - 17.00pm
Contract: Temp to Perm (Permananet after 12 weeks)
Salary: £32-£35K per annum. DOE
About the Role: Gap Personnel are is seeking a dynamic, ambitious and experienced Housing & Support Operations Manager to lead our clients Housing and Support Services across the South West region. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred services that help residents move towards greater independence. This is a temp to Perm position with an excellent progression route and a fantastic benefits package and flexible working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working alongside and in partnership with the Head of Services
- Provide day-to-day operational leadership for Housing and Support Services
- Lead, support, and develop Team Leaders and frontline staff
- Oversee service performance, workforce planning, safeguarding, and quality assurance
- Ensure services meet contractual, regulatory, and organisational standards
- Monitor and report on operational performance, KPIs, and targets
- Ensure residents receive high-quality housing management, support, and tenancy sustainment services
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and excellent customer service
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, commissioners, and partner agencies
- Participate in the management on-call rota
About You:
- Must have a full UK Clean Driving Licence and own vehicle.
- You must have willingness to be empathetic, show sympathy, patience, and compassion.
- Proven experience in operational management within housing, support, or a related sector
- Excellent organisational, people management, and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and develop employees
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and housing management systems
- Commitment to delivering high-quality services and continuous improvement
- Able to demonstrate companies values of Integrity, Transforming, and Proactive in everyday practice
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS or have a Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check
- Hold, or be working towards, a Level 4 qualification in Housing (or equivalent), or willing to commence within six months of appointment.
