Location: Swindon, SN25

Starting Rate: £13.50 p/h DOE 

Contract: Temp to Perm

gap personnel Gloucester are recruiting for an experienced Print Finisher for temp to perm assignment, for one of the print manufacturing companies, delivering exceptional quality and innovation from their facility in Swindon, Wiltshire.

The ideal candidate will have good experience working in a print production environment, and the role will require flexibility to work overtime during holiday cover and peak periods—particularly throughout December.

For those that can demonstrate a strong work ethic, and a commitment to the working hours there are permanent opportunities available and you are welcome to apply after completing your 12-week probationary period.  

Main Duties as a Print Finisher

• Using specialized machinery and manual techniques
• Cutting, folding, binding, laminating, and conducting quality control checks to meet exact client specifications before dispatch
• Binding & Assembling
• Quality control

• Manages the final stages of print production

• Prepare completed jobs for delivery, ensuring they are packed securely according to client or shipping requirements
• Perform routine cleaning on finishing machines

Skills required:

• Previous experience in working in print department
• Mechanical Aptitude such as strong technical ability to operate and adjust heavy machinery safely
• The ability to work efficiently under deadline pressure without compromising quality
• Attention to details
• Good communication skills
• FLT essential but not mandatory ( Reach / CB )

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, rotating shifts (Week 1: 6am–2pm / Week 2: 2pm–10pm)

Hourly Pay Rates

• Starting salary is £13.50 p/h ( DOE but baseline is £13.50 ) during the 3-month probation period which the individual will do through the agency. The hourly rate will increase upon being offered a permanent contract.

Successful candidates will have experience working in similar role. As part of the selection process, interviews will be held on site, in person .
