Job description
Job Title: Quality Technician
Location: Caerphilly
Pay Rate: £13.50 – £27.00 per hour
Contract: 9-Month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)
Shift Pattern: Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Working 7 days across a 2-week period (average 40 hours per week)

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Officer to join a well-established and reputable manufacturing company in Caerphilly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in manufacturing who is looking to grow their career in quality assurance.

- Previous experience in a quality role within food manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures across production lines
- Ensure compliance with both company and legal standards
- Evaluate and train staff on quality protocols
- Conduct daily taste panels and collect shelf-life samples
- Review and improve existing quality processes
- Support new and existing product development trials
- Perform nutritional and microbiological sampling as directed
- Communicate quality concerns to Production Team Leaders
- Monitor online samples for specification compliance
- Document online quality tests and complete NCR reports as needed
- Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions
- Promote hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination
- Liaise with laboratories on equipment calibration
- Assist in audit preparation (BRCGS and customer visits)
