Job description
Gap personnel are urgently recruiting for an experienced Temporary Staffing Bookings Assistant working in the NHS. This role provides vital, efficient, and responsive booking services for bank and agency staff to cover clinical and non-clinical gaps. Key duties include managing shift requests, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance, and communicating with staff/managers.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Booking Management: Handling daily requests for temporary workers from hospital departments and ensuring shifts are filled promptly.
- Compliance & Safety: Checking that all bank and agency staff are fully compliant with mandatory training, employment, and regulatory standards before booking.
- System Usage: Maintaining accurate data on IT systems such as HealthRoster or BankStaff to manage bookings and staff profiles.
- Stakeholder Communication: Acting as a point of contact for ward managers, departments, and external agencies to resolve queries effectively.
- Administrative Support: Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new bank workers.
- Problem Solving: Working to tight deadlines to resolve staffing shortages, and escalating issues to the Temporary Staffing Team Supervisor.
Required Skills and Experience:
- IT Proficiency: Experience with computer systems, including booking software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for interacting with varied stakeholders.
- Organisation: Ability to prioritize a heavy workload and work to tight deadlines.
- Customer Service: A professional, responsive approach to support service delivery.
- Must have NHS experience with bank staff, Healthroster and ESR.
Typical Qualifications:
- Good general education (GCSE or equivalent).
- Experience in an administrative role, preferably within a fast-paced environment or the NHS.
Hours of work:
- Full-time Mon-Fri – occasional weekend may be required
