POSITION SUMMARY: Main responsibility of the position is to tint color paints, lacquers and mix the stains, according to the given recipe, production specifications and schedules. The whole blending process must be done in accordance with minimization of wastes and losses, and Company safety and housekeeping rules.

Pay rate: £11.60 - 12.65 - depends on experience of the candidate 

Shifts:

Location: Knottingley

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Tinting the materials according to the given recipe. Report the mistakes if occurred.
  • Retain samples and to keep batch wise data for future references following SOP’s.
  • Keeping working place and the surroundings tidy.
  • Maintaining the machinery (Dispensers, mixers, shakers) clean and in working condition. Report faulty equipment to Blending Supervisor.
  • Maintenance of safe operating procedures through complete knowledge of safety rules and lab procedures.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with those in line of work.
  • Conduct projects from design through implementation by effectively organizing, planning, delegating, coordinating.
  • Follow all waste management procedures.
  • Reworking/adjusting the returned materials from customers.
  • Operating the Corob tinting machine.
  • Maintaining the Corob machine.
  • Other tasks given by Blending Supervisor.
  • Helping other team members as and when required to meet business needs.

POSITION CHALLENGES:

  • Ensuring safety of all operations.
  • Respect planning, directives and deadlines.
  • Communicating effectively with coworkers and understanding their requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of the colours, stains,  solvent- and waterborn pigment lacquer.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Formal Education:

Required: Secondary school level education.

Preferred: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Chemistry,  or similar experience in coatings.

  1. Knowledge & Experience:

Required: Knowledge of color.

Preferred: 2 years in coating or paint industry.

Knowledge of industrial coatings is an asset.

 

  1. Technical/skill Requirements:

Required:  Dynamic and results oriented

High level of accuracy.

Responsible and autonomous in working.

Preferred:

Driving license
