The Opportunity

Our client is looking to appoint a hands-on Site Engineering Lead to manage all engineering and maintenance activity across their manufacturing site.

Reporting to the Site Director, this role will lead the engineering team, drive machinery reliability, improve site performance, and ensure compliance across all engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations.
• Manage and develop the engineering team.
• Deliver planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance.
• Drive equipment uptime, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Manage contractors, spares, and engineering budgets.
• Ensure all work is recorded through PIRANA CMMS.
• Maintain Health & Safety, Food Safety, and GMP standards.
• Support audits, statutory checks, and site compliance.
• Work closely with Production and Technical teams to resolve issues quickly.

Candidate Profile

• Electrically biased or multi-skilled engineer.
• Recognised engineering qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ / BTEC / Apprenticeship).
• Previous leadership experience within manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance background.
• FMCG / food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and team management skills.
• CMMS experience preferred.
