Team Leader
Location: Caerphilly,
Salary: £13.50 – £16.87 per hour
Job Type: Full-time,

Overview

An established and award-winning food manufacturing business based in Caerphilly, South Wales is seeking a Team Leader to join its Production team. This is a full-time, permanent role working a 7-day fortnight shift pattern from 6:00am to 6:00pm, aligned with production requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a production team to achieve operational targets while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a production team to deliver the daily production plan.
  • Ensure all team members follow safe systems of work and company procedures.
  • Promote and enforce the correct use of PPE at all times.
  • Monitor and drive performance to achieve KPI targets.
  • Maintain a “clean as you go” culture within the production area.
  • Ensure work areas consistently meet audit and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure all customer specifications and quality standards are met.
  • Support a safe, efficient, and collaborative working environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated with a strong focus on achieving results.
  • Experience working within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience working within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support, influence, and develop team members.
  • Ability to complete required production documentation accurately.
  • Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of production machinery.
  • Flexible approach to cover absences and holidays when required.
  • Strong commitment to quality standards and hygiene practices.
