Warehouse Team Leader Wanted in Swanley!!!

Pay Rate: £30,000 – £32,000 per year (based on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00am – 11:00am (Night shift)

Type: Temp to perm for the right candidate

Location: Swanley BR3(Due to the location and shift time, own transport is required)

Job Description:

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our client’s fast-paced operation in Swanley. You will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, supporting team performance, and ensuring safe and efficient operations across goods-in and goods-out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out FLT & plant checks and record on the Health & Safety system
  • Receive and unload incoming vehicles
  • Delegate tasks and monitor team performance throughout the shift
  • Pick and process orders for outbound vehicles
  • Load delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Greet and brief drivers upon arrival, including route information
  • Handle agency drivers: verify and capture driving licence and Digi Card details, and update internal systems
  • Ensure all delivery paperwork is complete and handed to drivers
  • Confirm driver access to EPODs and ensure daily checks are completed
  • Address and resolve transport or loading issues
  • Check incoming stock against manifest; highlight any anomalies to admin for booking
  • Accurately put away and locate stock
  • Manage and prepare forward orders for upcoming deliveries
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards across the warehouse
  • Complete a clear and structured handover to the PM shift

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role
  • Valid FLT licence required
  • Strong communication, organisation, and delegation skills
  • Understanding of warehouse processes, health & safety, and EPOD systems
  • Confident using transport/stock systems and reporting tools
  • Ability to manage drivers, paperwork, and logistics tasks efficiently

  • Have their own transport due to the location
