gap personnel are recruiting on behalf of a reputable, family-owned food production business, and we’re looking for a hands-on Team Leader who knows how to bring out the best in a small team.

If you’ve got food manufacturing experience, care about doing things properly and enjoy helping people succeed, this could be your next move.

What’s on your plate?

You’ll oversee a small production team within a high-care or low-risk environment, keeping the shift running smoothly and ensuring products meet the standards customers expect.

Your shift will include:

• Organising daily tasks and making sure everyone knows the plan
• Leading, motivating and supporting your team
• Keeping production on track against targets
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene and quality standards
• Monitoring working practices and ensuring procedures are followed
• Training team members and building their confidence and skills
• Spotting issues early and helping resolve production problems
• Providing clear handovers and communicating with other departments
• Getting stuck in alongside your team when needed

We’re looking for someone who leads by example, gives clear direction and creates an environment where people feel supported and take pride in their work.

What makes you a good fit?

You’ll bring:

• Previous food manufacturing experience
• Experience leading a team, or responsibility as a line leader or supervisor
• An understanding of high-care or low-risk production environments
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety
• A calm, practical approach when things get busy
• Confidence organising workloads and keeping standards high
• A genuine interest in helping people learn and develop

You don’t need to rule the roost with an iron fist. We’re looking for someone approachable, reliable and confident who can get the best out of their team.

The shift

2pm–10pm, giving you your mornings free before taking the lead on the afternoon shift.

You’ll join a friendly, family-owned business where teamwork matters and your contribution will be easy to see.

You’ll need your own wheels

The site is in a rural location near Taunton, and public transport isn’t suitable for the shift times.

Own reliable transport is essential.
