Window Cleaner (Dacorum Council)

Hours:

• Monday – Thursday: 7am-3pm 

• Friday: 7am–1pm

Contract: Full-time Location: Dacorum Borough (various sites)

About the Role

Dacorum Council is seeking a reliable and skilled Window Cleaner to join theirFacilities team. You will be responsible for maintaining high cleaning standards across council buildings and designated sites, ensuring safe, streak‑free results using Reach & Wash systems and traditional methods where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external window cleaning across council properties.

• Operate Reach & Wash systems safely and effectively.

• Use traditional window cleaning methods when appropriate.

• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.

• Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe ladder use and equipment checks.

• Drive council vehicles to and from sites as required.

• Maintain equipment and report any faults or issues promptly.

• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with staff and members of the public.

Essential Requirements

• Experience using Reach & Wash window cleaning systems.

• Full UK manual driving licence.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good time management and reliability.

• Strong awareness of health and safety practices.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in commercial or local authority window cleaning.

• Knowledge of COSHH and safe working procedures.
